During 2006 to 2008 when Yousuke Bandai started his career as an artist, he presented unique photographs; he visited forests, woods and factories to create sculptures that were assembled from founded materials at those places, and he took documentation of them. Bandai's works are highly regarded by Shigeo Goto and Tim BARBER. Bandai was the member of Mikahonno, an artist group, they were also expected and deserved several kinds of field's attentions. Bandai has been doing his solo and group shows both domestic and abroad.

In 2008, because of having a lot of shows and making art works for them, Bandai lost his physical and physiological balance, finally he got bipolar disorder. During his struggle fighting his disorder, he found that "Art is a power to have an experience of the truth during the hard time." Then he started to look for the new method to create his work while he managed his bipolar disorder. In 2009, he started using a scanner instead of a camera as a photographic tool, repeated over hundreds times scanning around his house with destroying the scanner, finally he created and presented his work of "Sunrise", "321" and "545".

In this show after three years from Bandai's last solo show, because of his disorder he was away from directory taking pictures, and he looked for "The best visual experience" wile managing his bipolar disorder, he intends his audience to have interesting experiences. This show's works are digital images that are mainly founded from internet and also his past photograph works. Put them together, subtract from them, hybrid them, and sometimes trace them. They are constructed by those digital images and combination of strange titles such as, "Attempted Strangulation", "Crawling out of the ground" and "Laughing while crying".

He uses his art works as a space. For example, pictorial images over his works as a gimmick which is strangely boring and difficult to understand; while images (visual information) and titles (verbal information) are linked and came a part, then they are playing in our mind. Bandai intends audience to have those experiences. We are forced to "search" and "discover", and be attracted to "the best visual experience" those words given by Bandai. Bandai says "the best visual experiences have strange boringness and difficulty to understand. They are disgusting, but they give audiences the will to live." I should be very grateful if you would have a look at the Bandai's solo show.

What I have to show you is my unconsciousness.

However, if I could show you my unconsciousness, it is also a proof of you becoming a crazy, because to see someone's unconsciousness is kind of you see my dream that I saw last night.

I try to exist my artwork to connect my unconsciousness and yours. Which is impossible, but it is necessary to get close to there for having audiences the best visual experiences.

I think that the best visual experiences have strange boringness and difficulty to understand. They are disgusting, but they give audiences the will to live.
